Artist Statement:
I come from a deeply creative and innovative family. My mother, brothers, and aunts were sewists, writers, makers, and artists whose influence shaped my artistic perspective from an early age. Although I initially pursued formal training to become a full-time artist, my path ultimately led me to a career in arts administration, where I can support creativity on a broader scale.

My current collage series incorporates scrap fabric, junk mail, and other repurposed materials. Through layered compositions, I explore the interplay of shape, color, and texture, creating works that reflect both memory and materiality. These intimate vignettes are a personal homage to my mother, Rita, and my brother, Dennis, whose creative spirits continue to inspire and guide my artistic practice.
