Biography

My artwork allows me to express the relatable traumas surrounding gender and mental illness in a bright, whimsical, anime-inspired package. Using oil pastels, I am able to harness the emotional intensity of my illness without the crippling weight of self-doubt and perfectionism. Colors are layered over and over until they are then scraped away to reveal a textured and multicolored finished product.
