Biography
Judith Ann Wilson
Art—design—creativity, what else is there in life? At least in Judy’s life everything seems to fall under this headline. She started college studying architecture. After two and a half years family responsibilities took her out of the classroom but it couldn’t take the design out of her. Through the years she has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, and even owned her own interior design and staging business. Yet, her favorite time of the day came when she could pick up her brushes and create.
Over the years some things have changed. Persistence has earned her a B.S. in Management with a minor in Art and then a M.A. in Creative Writing; all this was despite complications of living in Europe and stateside military bases as an army pilot’s wife. Occasionally she has displayed and sold what she calls “Idenity Art” which are precise pen and ink drawings customized according to the client’s demands.
Judy’s mediums of choice are acrylic, pastels and stained glass and although she will paint just about anything landscapes seem to be her biggest focus. Whenever possible she has entered some of these more serious pieces of art into local and national art shows particularly in Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and now North Carolina. Occasionally, she has won awards: an Honorable Mention at the “Prayerful Art Show” in Solon Ohio, April 2005, followed by a 2nd Place in the same show in 2006. In 2016 she won a second place in the “Art Alliance Juried Show,” in State College, Pennsylvania. She is represented by “Mac Worthington’s” in Columbus, Ohio.
