Biography
Brenda Olds Carter has specialized in mixed media art as well acrylic, watercolor, oil, jewelry making, pottery, stained glass, and fiber arts, during her extensive career as an artist. She attended North Carolina A & T State University, Greensboro, North Carolina, and was awarded a BA degree in Art Design/Art Education. Her work has been and is currently featured in Collegiate Magazine and Delta Kappa Gamma International online Art Gallery, as well as North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Alumni Art Exhibit, and We Art Greensboro Exhibit. She has taught art for 34 years with Guilford County Schools, 20 years with Center for Visual Arts Summer Art Camp and Adult art classes, and 3 years at High Point TAG. Brenda recently retired in 2016 from Guilford County Schools as an Elementary Art Teacher, and has since focus on working on her personal artwork.
