Biography

Ron Cook is a North Carolina native who lives and works in Winston-Salem. His passion for art begin at a very early age. As a child he was always drawing and painting. He was born in Asheboro, North Carolina and is a graduate of Randolph Community College with an Associate in Applied Science in Commercial Graphics. Ron also attended a continuing education summer program at The School of Visual Arts in New York City. This set his foundation as an artist and his focus on Illustration and Graphic Design. Having painted more realistic oil paintings in his younger years, he decided to return to painting. Making the transition to a more abstract textured style of painting, which opened the door to the freedom of experimenting with different mediums and techniques. Today his work has a unique color pallet with a distressed mix of styles from contemporary to street art.
