Biography

After many years of working in the arts as a liturgical designer my husband inspired me to start painting again. My work with Church Interiors, in High Point, often involves renderings and other creative demands, but the last few years have been an awakening for a more personal journey into painting. I especially enjoy working in oils, but also use acrylics. I am still searching for a personal style and I let my imagination direct me to varied subject matter and techniques.

I was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's, but it has not deterred me from playing tennis or painting. When I am focussed and immersed in a canvas, especially if it demands fine detail work, any tremor seems to subside. I like to say that I may have Parkinson's, but it doesn't have me !

My husband Bill and I share a much too small studio space, but we both enjoy listening to Jazz, and we take advantage of helping each other when we get stuck on a problem with a piece. Bill and I have recently moved to Lewisville to be closer to the energy of the arts in the Winston area and also to be closer to our daughter and her growing family.
