Biography

Don Grubbs is a native of Charlotte where he grew up entertaining his younger sisters with fantastic tales of bizarre creatures. His sketch books and paintings are full these long-ago characters, wandering among abstract designs and surrealistic landscapes.
Don also creates jewelry. His popular, colorful earrings can be found in galleries from Calabash to Gatlinburg.
Don, together with Carey Holman, make up Lucky Dog Studios – so named for the many pound puppies and strays who have found their way into their home.
