Biography

"Dr Becky" came to art in a round about way, having studied opera performance receiving a music degree from Northwestern University in Chicago IL. Despite subsequent studies in science a short dalliance while obtaining her medical degree and training, Becky returned back to her artistic roots through the guidance of Luli Sandeford who included her in Whimsical Women art show.

Becky's ventures in mixed media have evolved into an amalgam of asymmetric jewelry, paintings, collages, upcycled furniture, silkscreened shirts and revised clothing as well as  inspirational, if not irreverent signs.

When not seeing her pediatric patients, Becky and her art can be found at random boutiques in the triad, various weekend art shows, and on her blog b4theafter@blogspot.com.
