Biography

I’m Parker Newman, a young artist currently based in High Point, North Carolina. As a native of Hendersonville, North Carolina, I grew up in a community that was rich with artistic spirit, which has deeply influenced my creative journey.

My artistic endeavors span multiple mediums, including charcoal drawing, video production, and comic book writing. This diversity in artistic interests allows me to explore and express my creativity in multifaceted ways. Currently, I am preparing for the release of my first comic book, "City of Demons," which will be published by Blood Moon Comics on March 22nd, 2025.

My art is a visceral reflection of my internal landscape, a canvas where emotions collide in beautiful chaos. Growing up in Hendersonville, surrounded by the natural beauty and artistic ethos of my hometown, I was inspired to channel my feelings and experiences into my work. This environment has shaped my artistic vision, pushing me to explore the boundaries of expression through different mediums.

Charcoal drawing has become a cornerstone of my artistic practice. The medium's raw, untamed quality mirrors the tumultuous emotions I seek to convey. With each stroke, I aim to transform chaos into beauty, inviting viewers to see their own emotions reflected in my abstract compositions.

Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to evoke a deep emotional response, allowing viewers to connect with the raw, unfiltered essence of human experience. Through the chaotic beauty of charcoal, I hope to create a space where emotions are not just seen but felt in their most profound and abstract forms.
