Teaching the art of self-expression, LB's 1-week poetry summer camp will consist of 5- half day workshops where students will learn the fundamentals of writing poetry, such as rhyming, structure, and the different forms of poetry. Through various rhyming and spoken word exercises, participants will learn how to not only write and recite, but to also perform Spoken Word Poetry, as they compose at least 3 short and one full length poem that they will share at the end of the week. This camp is not only for youth who already have an interest in writing, but also for those who have an interest in music or songwriting, as songs are simply poetry accompanied by musical instruments.
